The concentricity
tolerance for 
single-mode Ferrules
is one micron.

Our production is based on grinding and lapping in tolerances up to 0.0005 mm

 Most of SWISS JEWEL's production equipment is developed in our R&D department and produced in the tool and work shop.

High precision grinding machine, developed and built by SWISS JEWEL CO S.A. It is used to machine the exactly concentric OD of Zirconia Ferrules used in Fiber Optic Connectors.

Automatic concentricity measuring equipment, entirely designed and built by SWISS JEWEL CO S.A.. 

This machine has the capacity to inspect and sort 1'200 Ferrules per hour.
The inspection Department has most sophisticated Measuring and Optical Instruments, calibrated and maintained according ISO 9000 specifications.
The tolerance we can guarantee with these instruments are:
bulletfor roundness 0.00008mm (Grade 3)
bulletfor diameter 0.0001 mm (one tenth of a micron)
bulletfor length 0.001 mm
